Mamba Laser Cut Parts

Don, I think we need 4 or 5 more. I'll see what I can do.

People need to remember that its easier to paint in the summer than fall or winter.

Greg J Sun 27 July 2008 21:37

Joe,

Are you still taking orders ?

I'm thinking about build number 2. :)

Don_Kellogg Sun 27 July 2008 23:54

Joe I'll let you know hopefully in a week or so as noted. Thanks for the information.

I'll take orders until I can't lift 60Lbs.

Joe

sailfl Mon 28 July 2008 05:43

Joe,

When you can not lift, hire some one and charge a little more. The parts are too good for you to go out of business.

I'm a Personal Trainer, this is no where close to my business. I figure the more I help out. The stupid questions will forgiven.:D

Mamba Parts

Well I placed another order for parts yesterday!! They should be ready in a couple of weeks OR so.
I always order a few more sets to accommodate for the people that mis out on the initial order.
If you want one of the extra sets, PM me all your info so I can figure in shipping.

Mamba parts received!

My parts arrived today. Thanks Joe! To others considering, Joe was great to deal with, and the parts look very good. There are a few sharp edges (tiny burrs) to soften from the laser cuts (as in 4-5 out of 100 or so edges), so overall the quality is quite impressive. The packaging was good.

hey from a person living on the west coast i was curious about the shipping cost to out here. i would like to get involved and the price looks good but i dont know if shipping will kill me. think you could give me a quote to 91741 - 1802? do you guys think it would be cheaper to find someone locally or would you imagine this being the best deal?

Thanks,
John

sailfl Tue 05 August 2008 17:34

John,

I purchased a set of Joe's laser parts. They are very good quality. I would suggest you check around but because Joe has them cut a number of them at one time it helps reduce the price.

He will give you a delivery price but Joe ships by UPS and so the price should not be that high.

Good luck with your build.

smreish Tue 05 August 2008 18:39

...kudo's to Joe. I have built now 2 machines from different suppliers. Joe's are far superior in quality than what I built with. Quality control on the parts was very impressive. Thanks Joe.

laser cut parts

I can say that the people that I have to deal with to cut, bend, and ship these parts makes this process a breeze. So, my proper respects are to them.:)
I am just privileged to be part of this growing MM family.:D

jeff paul in charlotte did you get your parts cut and bent ?

jbmclain Sun 24 August 2008 12:08

Mamba Parts

They had lightning strike one of there buildings. So, the guy I deal with has been dealing with a few broken machines and I think he is a little overwhelmed.
I hope to be getting the parts this week. I will drop by to see what is up on Monday.
I will post what I find out tomorrow.

jbmclain Mon 25 August 2008 09:43

Mamba Parts

Well they have cut everything except the .25 inch parts.:( I figure that it will be at least September 5 before I get everything. I hope that this delay is not putting people out too much.
I will keep everyone posted.

Joe

Greg J Mon 25 August 2008 20:43

Joe,

Thanks for the update. Not a problem.

servant74 Wed 27 August 2008 20:56

Is it still $375US?

jbmclain Thu 28 August 2008 16:18

mamba parts

Jack, I have added a few additional pieces added to the kit that J.R. came up with on his machine that I thought might be beneficial to some. I think the next batch will be in the range of $450.00.
I hope it is less but I feel that its been too good for too long with out an increase. I hope I'm wrong.
I will post some pictures and price when I get them.

domino11 Thu 28 August 2008 19:50

Joe,
What are the additional pieces?

Art Thu 28 August 2008 21:44

mamba spider

how much for a mamba spider cut and bent?

servant74 Fri 29 August 2008 14:35

slightly off subject. Given that the current parts are about $400 US, roughly what does the rest of the parts cost (no spindle, motors or electronics)?
(purchasing metal new, with no scrounging abilities!)

How do the economics of a 4x8" MechMate compare to a ShopBot PR when we get close to comparing apples to apples?

Now I will go hide with my dunce cap on.

jbmclain Fri 29 August 2008 22:46

parts

Heath, the added parts are from J.R.'s creative thoughts. He modified the skate a little so I added that part and four 3" discs for the feet. You can use them or not. I didn't think it would hurt to add them to the cut parts.
I will produce some picks when I get them back.

jbmclain Fri 29 August 2008 22:49

Will someone help me answer Jacks question. Im still throwing money at mine.

J.R. Hatcher Sat 30 August 2008 05:07

If I had to guess and that's exactly what I'm doing, I would say around $5,000 in the U.S. That's a 4' X 8' basic machine with a router. If you were able to shop a little, find some deals you could cut that to around $4,000.

mamba spider

Art,
Hopping your having fun !
As for your quest about just getting a spider done , you’ll agree estimates varies from shop to shop & a bit more expensive if only the spider done/ordered. For what it’s worth, I got an estimate for 23.89$ as part as a complete mamba order and some.
Hope this can help, Robert ;)

jeff412 Wed 03 September 2008 19:02

Joe,
When will you be placing another order for the laser cut parts? Can you check on shipping to 77612 Residential?

Thanks,
Jeff

jbmclain Sat 06 September 2008 08:18
