Hello Folks, two works .

javeria Mon 02 March 2009 04:02

Vladimir - I am amused at the way you hold the parts - with something as big as a Mechmate its quite difficult.

nice work though :)

J.R. Hatcher Mon 02 March 2009 06:04

Vladmir I sometimes use the same principal, except I use small sticks 18" or so long. I have cut the ends off by mistake several times. If you continue this hold-down method you will too. All I needed to do was cut more sticks. What will you need to do ???????????????????? :(

Nice cutting machine :)

javeria Mon 02 March 2009 06:28

I will answer that -replace finger tips :D

jvfc Mon 02 March 2009 06:43

Thanks!
I don't like a long stick, but it is necessary :). very danger machine.

J.R. Hatcher Mon 02 March 2009 06:59

I don't like shortened fingers :D

Linear Guideway

Hi Vladimir,
I'm curios how Linear Guideway takes the forces when you cut material like wood for example? Does those guideways resist in time and for how long ?
Because when you cut along X and Y axis there are a lot of force in order to push through material.

Thank you,
Marius

jvfc Mon 02 March 2009 07:47

Marius, you question is about linear guide that I use in my Z axis?
My linear guide of the 20mm:
charge= dynamic capacity is 14.1 KN
charge =static capacity is 24 KN

Hi Vladimir,
How is your motor and z-slide holding up? Are you still happy with the cut performance?

jvfc Fri 24 July 2009 14:03

The cut is not as good, but for major work is acceptable.
soon we will use 3:1 reduction.
hugs

cara vc ta maluco mesmo! (you are crazy dude!) :)

The MM bridge can wipe you out of the table in a split second if it makes a bad move, be carefull, no jokes, be carefull you never know when something goes wrong, shit happens...

When I use my cnc mill I always use protective glasses, yeah, friends sometimes give me that look, but I only have a pair of eyes and I plan to keep them as they are right now... :)

Be safe!

Gerald D Fri 07 August 2009 04:21

Thanks Vladimir! What coolant/lubricant are you using?

(Pablo, let's not start a safety debate here)

jvfc Fri 07 August 2009 06:18

PEU, the mechmate machine is very reliable. :)

Gerald D, I use Soluble oil, 4 flute, 6mm HSS end mill . 10.000 rpm 0,4mm depth and 1300mm/min feed rate.
the drilling was used a 3mm solid bit and 5mm deep

hugs

Cool T-Rex. May I ask about the material (MDF I assume?) thickness? And where you got the DXF for cut file? I'd love to cut one myself for my school. Thanks
