Clamping device for small jobs

I developed a need for a clamping method for doing small jobs that are repeated many times. This is the clamp thing that I came up with, it works very well. If you paint it you can use it to cut aluminium and steel with a lubricant or coolant. The MDF will not damage.
I sealed all the parts first with a water based sealer and then painted it with a hammer tone finish. There are some ugly marks on the thing because I could not wait for the paint to dry properly.

I had to cut this 3D clock for my wife and then do the pocket at the back.

Following are some pics of the parts. Note the inserts used - 8mm self threading insert and a 8mm "T" nut or furniture nut.

Pleasure is mine. I forgot to mention the material is 30mm MDF. You can see the tool sizes from the G-code.

Thanks Marius, that looks much nicer than my thrown together bits and pieces I have used in the past.

I just grabbed it. Works for me?
Thanks Marius for the file! When I first saw your post, I thought you had based your wooden table on the metal one...then realized that the metal one, is the wood painted
Thanks again
Mark

You're welcome man. I painted the unit with a hammer tone finish to seal it all round as I was cutting aluminium that needed some coolant. That was the only paint I had at hand.
