New Member, Need Help

Hello all, I am new to the whole DIY CNC thing, having found it three days ago. I design custom doors, furniture, architectural elements like wall paneling, etc...but due to the high charges to have this work done I need to do this on my own.

I'm liking what I see and I am shopping around but need to have a Fourth Axis for table legs, etc.

What do I need to do, buy, know, etc...Would I be able to use the 4 Axis Combo with the kit?

Also, what is the accuracy of these machines, i.e. thousandths, hundreds, etc? Material being cut is alder, oak, MDF, inch thick acrylic, thin aluminum (1/8) engraving in all above. I appreciate all assistance. Thanks.

Best way to get familiar is to read some of the build threads of the completed
machines. This will give you a sense of what is involved in the build and
what can be cut on the machine.

I agree with Heath. Every question you posed has been answered in abundance in the forum.by reading and researching you will gain a greater depth of understanding than could be given in this thread. Welcome aboard and good luck.

This site is indexed by google.
A good start would use the search feature here, or use "4th axis", mechmate in google.
A lot of relevant threads popped up.
