Jet 1221vs CNC Lathe Converion
Not MechMate, but lots of CNC tinkerers here. Remove if not appropriate, please.
Custom built CNC conversion for Jet 1221vs Lathe. Equipped with Jet stand, 4 jaw syncro chuck, drive plate, drive spur, live center 5/8" mandrel and numerous other accessories. Ballscrew drive for X and Y on supported linear rails. All components cnc cut from billet stock. 5 amp, 4 axis control will run on WinCNC, Shopbot, Mach, Linux or any other using standard DB25 pin interface. (not included) Optional adapter required for ShopBot. All manual operations of the lathe remain intact. CNC operations include rotary 4th axis (Indexer) or CNC Lathe turning with Lathe motor.
