400A/600V Switching Modules

We have a bunch of brand new, sealed in plastic, Powerex KS624540-D High Beta Single Darlington Transistor Modules.

These are typically used for Switching motors, inverters or power supplies.

Sells at Galco for $218:

$40 (including shipping in the lower 48 States) to any Mechmaters that need them for router or spindle switching.

I can't image why anyone would use those modules in a MechMate. The power supplies that we use don't need Darlington Transistor Modules, instead, they use a simple $3.00 bridge rectifier.

LOL, no I don't think anyone needs them for a MM power supply.

We used them at one time for switching motors - but creative people here may find use for them in other ways too.

Maybe in an uninterpretable power supply with a big bank of deep cycle batteries for when you are carving that one of a kind piece of wood in a thunder storm.

400A x 600V = 240000Watt =240kW =321.716HP....
Is this a generator specification?
Or is this for electroplating industry?
