Gerald, Will the Y car of the Mechmate be able to support a mechanism of this nature.

Shopbot too offers this tool to its customers. I did a search on their site but did not come up with much info. May be the key words I used were wrong.

It will support the weight. But the space will be a problem.

ShopBot have experimented with 5-axis. I don't believe that they sell it.

That link says CNC Toolkit is a
Multiaxis CNC / CAM extension for 3DS MAX, GMAX and Autodesk VIZ. The point is that software for 5-axis is not as simple as 3-axis - it jumps to a whole new level.

I use visualmill from www.mecsoft.com it suppose to do 5axes .I have not yet got to 4axe so I am not certain as to what kind of 5axes work it does
