Hello, good morning group !. I am from Argentina and I am about to start my project to build my own Mechmate. I have a doubt, this model is still economically feasible? Taking into account that it is a model with several years of antiquity.

Another question I have is whether the rail where the bearings are displaced are made of steel or with some sweet iron is enough.

Thanks and look forward to your comments!

A hug from Santa Fe.

This system is still very strong in its current design. If you want to upgrade any of the electronics, go for it, post your progress so we can all see. The great thing about this forum is through sharing ideas we create a better MechMate

Many have been running their system for years on the fist set of rails.

Hola Gonzalo.
It is a proven design.
My machine has all its original parts and it will be 4 years old this year.
Read, learn,plan, build and enjoy.
