An update on my downloading problems.
Upon entering the forum I am automatically logged in, my user name and details appear and everything is fine. However When I try to download a file I am a sked to log in, which I do and then I get the "Welcome DavidP you are logged in" I am then re directed to the log in page, from there I navigate back to the downloads page and it all starts over again. Please log in etc etc. Deja veu again, and again. David |

David told me this morning he uses a Mac.
Will check with vBulletin tonight if they have a cure for the Mac users........other than switching to a PC. |

Gerald,
As a good citizen - I sent David the files and profiles from my wifes Mac today so he could get started with the files. I didn't want a little thing like his mac slowing down getting started on his MM upgrade for his Shopbot. Sean |

Gerald/David...
I also have a Mac and have never had a problem downloading from this site. I just now downloaded ProfilesBends09Nov07.zip without any hitches. David... you can email me and we can go over the problem you are having if you so desire, but I do not believe Gerald's site is at fault... Bill |

Firstly let me thank all of you for your assistance. It has great.
An update, I have been able to download files from different threads on the forum. In fact nearly everytime I have encountered a download I have tried it and it has worked. The only problem I have is downloading from the downloads thread. Sean emailed the first two files to me yesterday and they were fine. Last night I dragged my work computer, a Dell PC, home and hooked it up to the network and downloaded the files. It worked fine, so as Gerald has already stated it is not my account. I believe that the problem is with the "cookies" and how V Bulletin and my browser are reading sending them. Bill can I ask what browser are you using and what OS. I have had a cursory glance at the V Bulletin website but nothing jumps out at me. I will also serach the Apple developers site as well to see if anyone is able to shed some light on this problem I will keep searching. Once again thank you for all of your help. Regards, David |

David, the only difference with the downloads page is that it is closed to public posting. See if you can download a big file from the archived "downloads" (also closed for posting) over here:
http://www.mechmate.com/forums/showthread.php?t=375 If that doesn't work, I'll open that thread and then you can try it again. |

David,
I run Firefox on my PC and my Imac without any problems with the site. Safari does have a cookie conflict with some posting forum sites. CNCZone always gives me a fit in safari...firefox - no problemo. Sean |

Gerald, Sean and Bill,
Eureka!!!! I now works. I am using an Intel Mac with 10.4.10 and safari. I deleted all of the Mechmate cookies and logged in again and everything is fine. It seems there must have been some corruption with the cookies. So thank you all for your assistance and help. David. |
