Cutting wrong measurement

Ok,
So my mech mate is running very well. The only issue so far is that the cut is short ever so slightly. Tops 1/16 over 48 in (calipers show near perfection)

I've ran the steps per calculation, Still off ever so slightly....

The bit also does not end smooth every time (primarily on rectangles)

It produces a small lump at the start point. Way worse if I run lead ins.

I'm extremely frustrated,
And ideas would help,

Jason

Specs on your machine? Motors? Router? Size of your table?

Pictures, Logos?

What software did you use to create the Gcode? What size bit are you using? What software are you using to run the MM? More details are needed.

If you have marks on start point and its larger with leading then you have some mechanical slop in system, check pinions or belt drives, check v-wheels

and of-course show us your MechMate

My fixes were:
Check bit (Z-axis) is vertical to table
Tighten Z rollers
