hi!! from shawinigan,Québec,Canada

start to read the forum for now,meet contact with mars from shawinigan.
i love cnc and i have no background with this(just a simple vinyl cuter for sign),
start to build an aircraft few years ago and i have a lot of aluminum to cut
.125'' maximum thiknes.
i read e lot about stepper and gaecko.
what is a good match?
motor with gear box or non?
what size???of motor
what kind of stepper and ps how much volt?
i think i'm gonne need breaker board?
so.....i'm continue to read and trying to find!!!thank-you and regards,

al your questions are answered within the forums :

- For a BoB people usually use one of the available PMDX boards, PMDX122, PMDX125 or G540 (from gecko)
- Stepper voltage calculations can be found here : http://www.mechmate.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56

I am still building so no experience with alu cuts, but I know people do that here aswell.

My turn to welcome this fellow neighbor ( neighbor at +/- 175km apart ) abord this amaizing group !
Wishing you great time & fun building yours.
ADVICE, download the plans, read them and read them till you know them almost by hart…This will help you A LOT more than you may think !
ANOTHER advice, read, read, read threads in this forum…. Most of all (99%) beginers question are in her, been covered before…so….read, read, read just as this suggest !
