Belt reduction box build T5 16 to 60

Hi all ...

Herewith some pics of my reduction box build.
I'm using 10mm polycarb (it was lying around in my workshop) and trying to create as much of it with the mechmate as possible.

I made the polycarb pieces on the MEchmate (some 10mm stock) ... the bearing housings were a pretty good squeeze fit and then I secured them with loctite...

The standoffs I got from the local hardware store (6mm metric threaded, 30mm long hex bars)

The countersink work I performed on my drill press ...

So far (6 months or so) the gearboxes are working beautifully ...

One thing I did extra, is I drilled holes above the base plate fasteners to be able to access the nuts through the gearbox housing.... makes things quicker ...

Pulleys: http://www.cncdirect.co.za/ - extremely good service form Greg.

Regards
Linus
