Spur Gear decision

Hi, I have 640oz (+,-) with a 4:1 gear ration on top of that.

Going to purchace the stdsteel gear rack 20/20 (or w.e it is i dont have the info right in front of me.

But i was wondering which spur gear should i go for

A 20 or 24 tooth gear. there is also a 32 tooth but i would rather smoother then faster. What do you all suggest?

For smoother, rather than faster, the 20 tooth would be the choice in the inch based diametral pitch system (DP 20).

Thank you Gerald you are fast at replying and always a help. I also had a question. Is there a formula to estimate accuracy? I saw the resolution but thats not necessarily accuracy or is it?
