I don't know what kind of belt you're looking for.
But go to ebay and search for dealer named polybelt, his/her ebay listing is among the cheapest (i think).
try this one

The polybelt on ebay is for the "H" size toothed pulleys. That size is much larger than the XL size that I used when I build my belted-transmission.

The ‘Greenish’ belt you refer to may be a Polyurethane Timing Belt. Try here:
https://sdp-si.com/eStore/Direct.asp?GroupID=213

for other timing belts try here:
https://sdp-si.com/eStore/Direct.asp?GroupID=214

With the timing belt worn and 12 years service you may need other drive components too.

Good luck,

H size tooth, 25mm wide, US$1.25
i was searching for belt sometime ago and this is the cheapest i got.

XL belt 3/8" wide cost more at other popular internet store. typically about $2.XX per foot.

the only downside is the price of the pulley, but it can sustain more load for sure. And the size of the contraption grows too

This site is good to........www.econobelt.com

Look to the top of the pulley selection page to change tooth count.
