That is a good idea on how to redirect the air blast from the cooling fan on the router to not interfere with the dust collection. That was the main reason I bought a water cooled spindle to eliminate the air blast issue. The only thing I see is you would have to do is to adapt the exit hole sizes to allow the proper amount of unrestricted flow to allow for proper cooling of the motor for your particular router.
