Hi Krasch, you're right they are good carpenters in this area - Maramures!
I did this furniture 10 years ago, when none dreamed of MM…. If I had one then I think it would be more artistic. When I’ll finish my MM, I hope to do something nice ! |

Very nice Stefan. It looks like all solid wood. Did you make the inner parts of the doors FLOATING / loose or did you glue it all together? I am asking bacause I was at my local woodworkers meeting on Wednesday evening and an expert had a talk about using solid timer in this matter. He was going on and on about making a floating or loose construction so that when the wood move, it does not produce cracking.

The interior parts of the doors are separately applied to the back channel, do not stick them because the wood works and you need to allow expansion or contraction, otherwise it will crack.

Welcome Stefan. Ce mai faci? I have friends in Oradea. I have been there many times. I have seen some excellent wood work too. and what is most impressive is the tools that were used... But I know a pretty good woodworker in Germany too

I use 86HS9801, can't comment on MK motors as I never have any.

I had the same problem.....freight cost more than the steppers...., but I am happy with my 9801's....nearly 2 years of use ... playing with them.

You should call me first.... There is a shop near me with everything you need. They don't have Oriental Motors but you should try their stuff. Most important is the service and 2 years guarantee. This is a very well known shop in Bucharest for electronics.
Check their site http://www.conexelectronic.ro/produse.php?id=459 and if is OK I'll go there to make the shopping for you. Call me tomorrow. Marius |

Hi...si salut
I am looking for a CNC workshop to move our production from middle east to romania. Searched for a while but most of the routers we found are just 8*4, too little for us, we need working area min 3000*1540mm (10*5). I saw here many mentioning about such workshops, and was wondering if any can recommend a good and serious having such a machine, would be very helpful. Some basic requirements: - 3000*1540 working area - vacuum table - at least 25k rpm - good planarity of the table for all the surface (worst case scenario, the table needs to be resurfaced) if any of you has an idea about such machine, please et me know. or if any can build and run such a machine, would be ok too, we can discuss details and be very flexible. thanks Marius |

Meanwhile, I've been working on some other things to get money.
I started the construction and made the first purchases. I've bought the stepper motors from Deitech http://www.driver-motor.com . They came really fast and had good prices. |

Stefan - how is the quality of the racks from Deitech, or did you get them locally??

Irfan, what are the sizes of the aluminium plates that are you using for axis Z?
You used linear size for axis Z 25mm thk slides. Can I use 20mm ones? I have bought the racks from a local dealer http://www.chiaravalli.it/home/pdf_ita/CREMAGLIERE.pdf. They seem really good. By the way, what program do you use to make 3d modeling of the MechMate (http://www.mechmate.com/forums/attac...1&d=1259410297 ) ? SolidWorks? Thanks. |

Hi Stefan, yes you can use 20mm rails, I just used what were available, the right sizes would be the ones Ken used - mine were experimental and Ken refined those, PM me your email id and I will find out from Ken what he used as final plate sizes and email it to you.
yes thats solidworks, and the main models are from PEU |

And some homemade foots. They are made from rubber.[/QUOTE] Everybody probably knows already but that foot material is old conveyor belt from rock quarry or such. Also good to put in your horse trailer for the horses to stand on! Don't forget if you are cutting rubber, it is easier when it is wet. Roger |
