What do you think about these motors?

Do you think there would be anything wrong with these... The specifications say 2.0amps that cant be right for 600 or so oz/inch motor can it?

at 12mH of inductance, wouldn't they require a 110v dc power supply?

It looks like Jeff is correct, you would need a 110V dc power supply to get maximum power out of those motors. I would look for something with less inductance. Also look at the torque/speed curves for the motors you are selecting. Compare them to the suggested Oriental motors and see if they are similar. The Oriental motors that are suggested have a good T/S curve for CNC applications. They work well on many machines.

Yeah sorry i have been looking for the best prices for what i can get... im definitely going ot gear the motors just dont wanna use the gear heads... but this is what i found today on ebay... And i will be emailing him ont he curve you were telling me about... But do the basic specs look good on this one?

Kyle,

I would NOT buy anything made by or distributed by Tormach. There are many other good suppliers out there whose history is spotless. You might want to Google Tomach and Gecko to learn what I'm talking about. Mariss at Geckodrive has innovated many excellent concepts that others may have "borrowed" or that others have purchased from companies who may have "borrowed".
