quick question on .dxf format

Newbie at this and I am not up yet on all the computer stuff. How do I convert the plan photos to a .dxf format, in order to send part layouts to get lazer cutts?

Ed,

On the very first page of this web site is the download thread.

Click on download and at the bottom are some ZIP files. The directions are there also.

Hey, finally someone close to me. Welcome.

CNC Laser Cut Drawings - are the .dxf files of these MM parts available?

Attn: Gerald
I do not know where to put this general guestion in Mechmate forum.
We want to start making Mechmate for effective cutting area of 1220x2440mm.
Looking at your plans, CNC laser cut parts are being given outer dimensions only.
Do we have to scale it ourself, in order to get fully dimensions drawings?
Can we obtain the .dxf files for these parts?
Thank you,
AssoProf. Lie S.T.

On the "Downloads" page, you should have downloaded ProfilesBends30Jun08.zip When you unzip that file, you should find everything you need to have the parts profile (laser) cut and bent. The few dimensions on the drawings are for the supplier to check the .dxf scale and to make quick cost & machine(laser) size estimations.

(the (laser) can be replaced with water jet)
