MechMate Plans Are Now Free

I have decided to remove the payment option for the MechMate plans.

They are now free again.

I have had this forum for 10 years, which I find truly amazing it has been that long!, and just decided that an adjustment in the way I deliver the plans would help inspire new participation and builds.

I still sell parts kits and will also sell the DXF cut files at my online store.

I will be updating the store and hope to get the forum upgraded this year.

Eeek! It has been that long - plans still came from Gerald when I built, and I'm glad this is still going. I look forward to the upgrades.

I paid for the plans and it's been worth it however I think this is a very good choice. Mike, I think you'll see more business selling your parts as well. Ill spread the word!

edit.... I just read the rest of your post how much will the DXF files be? and do they include the bend data as well?

IMHO the original free donation was a good choice, I made a donation greater than the requested fee. I'm sure every builder did the donation, but I don't know how many fees from people who just downloaded you had ... so can't say what's good for you, sometimes "Open" has a good comeback.
