Rollers grooved to 70 degrees by mistake - can they be re-cut to 90 degrees?

HI Folks - the rollers which me and vishnu ordered - turned out to have an angle of 70 degrees.

Now vishnu thinks that plunging a 90 degree v tool would solve the problem

what I think is that the 70 degrees has created more depth(of the groove in the wheel ) and now having the 90 degree tool plunge in will just get it to the same changed depth - I have a hunch that it would work - just wanted to get your views

The profile should have followed the yellow line. You now have 70 degrees to the magenta line. If you put in a 90 degree cutter now, it will go to the the blue line. That means your rollers will be 2mm smaller in effective radius. Not too serious.

Hi,

Today i have plunged the rollers with 90 deg form tool and mounted the wheels atlast it worked. The movement was smooth and satisfactory. I will send you the tool & mandrel , it takes about 2 monutes for one wheel , lets keep things moving.
