how do I mount a router base to the z plate?

I feel like im asking a dumb question, but how do I mount a router base or a spindle to the z plate, do i need to drill more holes on the plate, or do i use the drilled hole already in the spine of the plate?

You need a router bracket that fits the router that you are going to use. The bracket usually has a plate that mounts to the Z plate.
