a general purpose lithium grease pumped it would be enough - but since grease attracts dust I use a 68 grade hydraulic oil pumped thru a hand pump.

beware of thick greases, as they can jam the balls inside the balscrew nut, also do not use any lubricant that leaves residues, because they build up and can permanently damage the ballscrew (or linear bearing)

There are specific greases for linear bearings and ballscrews, take a look at this page: http://www.pro.com.sg/Z-HTM/ballscrew.htm at the bottom you see NSK grease for ballscrews and linear guides (I purchased ballscrews at this site 3 years ago for my small router, great quality used products at discount prices)

You will hate me for not showing you this page earlier, take a look at their ready made Z axis http://www.pro.com.sg/z-htm/slide-assy1.htm I like the parker daedal at the bottom

cheers

I get an attack too from that site. Yes maybe it’s a wise thing to buy a ready made Z axis but there are two reasons because I did this way. Is quite hard to find a Z axis with the exact dimensions for your needs and second and most important: what will happening with MM spirit if will take everything ready made ?
Thanks for the info.
I'll try to find something similar or the exact product. Is there any chance to use the same lube spray that I use for motorcycle chain ? This kind of lube is desing for very dirty places including dust of course.

Pablo,
Yes I can get it to load, just that firefox has labeled it as an attach site, I believe they used google as the determiner. Just thought Id pass it on. Sometimes its just and old problem that could now be fixed.
