In this post you can see the typical way in which the router manufacturing companies mount onto their own routers.

Hi guys

Gerald
In this case we have the mounting dilema with the chinese spindle.

Ken, I found this link where you see a fortune cookie already mounted.

I hope it`s not an example of a wrongly mounted one.

Greetings
Claus

Hi, I'm inclined toward clamping on the spindle body, its easier to implement & safest to use. Mounting on the ends isn't the best place as there is always the chance of bending the spindle's axis, no matter how slime the chance is... I sincerely hope the shiny bit is the the body & not a cladding...

Hey Ken,
thanks for the clear sign.

I happy that way because anyway the shiny part of the spindle suits better with the shiny part of the holder !

Some nice graphics...which suit a nice MM!

I get more and even more respect for your work Gerald as I assemble part by part and realize how much work and knowledge it takes to invent such a machine. I`m just copying. Thank you

Greetings to all.

You make me a little nervous; I am going away a little over the Xmas period and that is when you will want your serial number

Already your motors have turned, your control box is complete and you just need a few days for the cables and push-button boxes before we will see some dust.

Some more work done so far.

I just wanted to show you the option for the Control Box attached to the frame.
You can see some hinges where the control box is just hooked in. If there is some repair to do you can just lift it off and work inside ( not to break your back).

That's a very nice progress you've done.
I wish you have your MM up and running before 2010

BTW why you used such a long E-chain ?
I think you could have used half of it.

Claus,
Great progress! Love the light! Do you have any plan to have some sort of guard for the LEDs? Where will you place your monitor?

Hi Ken,

You can see the mounted lights in post 74.They`re really flat. Why do you think they need a guard? Is it for protecting reason?
The Monitor and the PC will sty somewher besides the table near the 0,0,0.

Greetings

A small step for mankind but a big one for MM`ers. Another one is alive!

Ken, because you mentioned dust.....

This is the very first Virgin Cut.
SNC01061.jpg

Second one....
SNC01067.jpg

Please also visit here and here for my first CUTS uncensored.

It´s a great pleasure to share this moment with you guys and again to thank you for your support during my build.

This experience was more than a build, it was learning a lot from a new domain and of course making a dream come true to have such a machine called my own.

Gerald, thank you for making this possible, but more the joy, happiness and satisfaction you bring to everyone.

Yesterday I felt like Dexter´s Lab, Jeckel and Hyde and Transformers together when I saw Beast moving.....Great feeling...

....it´s alive.

Congratulation Claus, I know what it feels like because It was when my small engraver first made a little dust. I can image what it is like when you see such big thing moving on your command.

The fun just begins, you will have such feeling every day you will do your first masterpiece (every time).

Update Builder's Log

Claus,

Congratulations on your MechMate and Serial #43.
The Updated Builder's Log is here.

Please provide some additional information for the Builder's Log. I would like to know the X and Y dimensions of your MechMate...that would be the largest board you can cut.

Also, please review your entry and let me know any changes you would like.
