courious about this

i am running mach 3 using geckodrive G203v
normally when i power up i hear a thump that comes from the stepped motor. i took this as normal.

i then had a faulty G203 which i replaced not i get two thumps when i power up
is this normally.

Thump

with no voltage the stepper motors can be turned freely.
but, you will hear those babies lock up once voltage has been applied.
They are ready for commands from Mach3. Best of luck.

Gecko G203

What was wrong with your Gecko G203v?
Only thing I have ever had go wrong with them is blowing the fuse and that was my fault. If you order fuses, order a bunch. They are cheap.

What was wrong with your Gecko G203v? dont really know what the problem was with my
g203v one of my x motor just stopped working. i checked the fuse and it was ok.
replaced and everything is back working.
shipped the unit to Gecko waiting for them to reply.
yes i have fuses
