Limit switch inputs

Hi Gerald,
Do the limit switches feed into the breakout board spare inputs, and are they used in the mach 3 program?

Yes, the limit switches are all in series with each other and only use one input into the breakout board for Mach to use.

You need to draw your own complete & Electrical & Electronic Plan based on the motors, drives, "breakout card", power supply that you will select. Each of those components have their own requirements from their manufacturers - it will help you if you select components with good clear instructions.

I am going to send nothing to you. You need to spend a lot more time reading the stuff already here on this web site.

There is so much valuable information here on electrical stuff/controllers/geckos/BOBs. I've been here quite awhile and I'm still finding threads I haven't read yet. Best bet is to read read read and then read some more. If you see something or a term you don't understand or why something was done one way electrically the best bet is to google it, look it up and get a full understanding before doing anything. A clear concise plan can go a long way, and you should feel confident before you land a single wire.
