Anyone used Fulling motors?
Has anyone tried these steppers? www.fullingmotor.com
They seem to be able to make something very similar to the PK296A2A-SG7.2 Francis Last edited by sprayhead; Fri 05 December 2008 at 06:10.. |

Hi Hennie
Whats the ratio 7.5:1? could you post a picture? They have sent me the specs for a motor and it seems interesting. It has a 7.5:1 gearbox, the motor itself is rated 3.2Nm holding torque. Mr. Leon, the person that I have been in contact with said that they guarantee the gearbox for 2500 working hours and that the backlash is ~4 degrees. |

4 degrees backlash is far too much. We are used to 0.4 degrees. See Backlash in the gearhead of the Oriental Motor PK296A2A-SG7.2

I have a 3:1 ratio on my motors. If I am not mistaken the specs should be on my thread.

4 degrees backlash turns out to be a ~1mm arc perimeter of a 30mm pitch diameter pinion.
So, it's a linear play of 1mm or 0.5mm for each direction... I is quite a lot for a good quality Board cut... but maybe it's OK for what I want, foam cut. Mmmmmhhmmm... On another Email, Mr. Leon from Fulling motor said that they could supply a german IMS gearbox, with much better quality than theirs. He was quite honest actually, he said that Oriental Motors gearbox is far better then theirs but the motor itself has the same quality. |
