Now I start to realise how big your motors really are. Many people say their experience with those motors is not good at fast speeds. Please keep us informed if they are working for you.

I am also a bit worried that the part 10 40 434, with its welding, is strong enough to carry that motor. You should check from time to time that the top weld is not starting to crack.

Congratulations on the machine and best wishes to your Father - He seems to be doing well after the surgery. (My fathers birthday today 25 Jan - 76 years).

I recognise the Soviet and Russian federation flags (as well as Brazilian and RSA) but what is the flag in the centre? I assume you are originally from Russia?

Yuri,

Outstanding accomplishment...and on YOUR FATHER'S BIRTHDAY! I'm sure he is as proud of your achievement as we on the Forum are. Congratulations!

Your machine has been added to the MechMate Builder's Log, here

Happy cutting!

John

People who are wondering whether they will be able to build a MechMate should be inspired by Yuri's achievement. His friends tell him that he has two left hands. He did not have most of the tools before the build - nor did he have experience with many of those tools. (Read this thread from the start again). But a good attitude and sense of humour got him to where he is today. You got to watch out for these Brasileiros!

Congratulations from #16. Your machine looks great.

Just like I was told, it needs some dust on it. Happy cutting.

Well done Yuri, Just to show that if you can ride a motorbike with two left hands, you can build a MM as well....enjoy and show us the things you are cutting.

OK, but the drivers are "Smile" that enable superior performance.

Who knows about EMC2 latency. Use a PC with latency of up to 15,000. My PC is 1150000. I'll replace it by an AMD PC.

Wait a moment.

Is there something in my eyes.

I just got here because you allowed it.

This great community (Forum MechMate and GuiaCNC) allows the dissemination of knowledge.

This is the revolution of the 21st century.

Thanks for support . My father has not made the surgery. His heart capacity rose 30% to 60%. In the coming weeks will to intervene.

Greg_J,
You are the inspiration for the image of Big Boss the wall.

John,
I'm also very proud but not satisfied. Thank you.

Mike,
Thank you. But you are very fast and did a great job. I have not yet finished.

Heath,
Thank you. This community inspires.

Kobus,
You make an exquisite work. I'm learning. But in driving the motorcycle ... maybe one day we are not on the road ...

Z Axis

Continuing the configuration.

I am thinking of using a "spindle" as Vladimir.

The original idea was to use a Tecmaf. Now I think about this option. In Brasil, the use of this "spindle" is widespread.

Siemens 1cv this motor weighs 7,6 kilograms

Added 9,2 kilograms pair test the axis Z.

In the future I will use a reduction, perhaps 2,2:1.

Today I am not using the "gas springs"

Speed 300mm/second (18.0000mm/min or 708ipm). The beginning of the video is wrong.

Video: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=E3gS2O...e=channel_page

Then I cut it.

I am not proud of this

Why use the Siemens motor and not the WEG motors made in Brasil? Out here the WEG motors are very popular.

I think most have Siemens due to weight.

This 1LA7 075-2EA-9.
Weight: 7,6 kg
RPM: 3.410
Structure of aluminum.

This video was to understand whether the V-Roller will endure this extra weight.

What is your suggestion?

I came back.

My father did.

This week should be at home ... and he wants beer!

OK, while this one video ...

I find it a little noisy ... Gerald, perhaps a pinion with more teeth to allow more silent?

Good news about your father!

More teeth on the pinion will make little difference to the noise, but will make a big difference to the quality of the cut edge - the quality will go down a lot.

I cannot hear the noise on your video (don't have sound on my PC's) so I cannot judge if it is worse than what I am used to.

Congratulations Yuri,

Great video and good speed too.

27 meters / minute makes the gantry get to the other end really fast.

I am having trouble convincing myself to try to go any faster than that.

How much more speed to you think you could get?

Regards,

Jayson

Congrats YURI! I enjoyed the video, She's fast!! For some reason I like the red Y CAR too

Can you post some pictures of your Smile driver and the Smile Break out board stack? I'd like to see how you got it all set up.

Also, how much torque do you think that the Smile is getting out of those 70Kg/cm motores?

Okay, for you guys going at those crazy speeds, I need to know if the mechanical design can handle it! My biggest concern is the mechanical stops. Will they stop the gantry going at full speed? And the only way to be sure is to test it at least 10 times and then see if something is getting damaged.

Such a fast gantry, having a cutter spinning, comes running at you and then comes right off the rails into your lap! This is an easily predictable accident and therefore we must take real steps to prevent it. If we don't prevent a predictable accident then we are negligent

I agree,

But that was to show that a "driver Smile" can do more than a normal driver.

I will reduce per belt. I believe we need a very strong Spindle to cut this rate.

The next data of the motors:
Strength: 2.67 OHMS/fase
Inductance: 13.8 mH/fase
Inertia: 2.5 K.cm²
Weight: 5 kg

Jayson,
With motors smaller inductance ... I think it is good.

Francis,
So it is a Testarossa.
The driver is in an office that also accommodate the PC.

This image is old.

Yuri,

I received your PM and I've corrected the table size information on the Builder's Log. All future versions will reflect the updated information.

I tried to reply to your PM, but you have not enabled receipt of PM's, so I could not send you a reply. If, in the future, you want to receive PM's, you will have to edit your profile...I think

Regards,
John

OK John,

You are correct.

The size of the MM is 4400x2350.

Cutting Area: 3850x1830.

"PM" you were not possible.

I used the option "Request a read receipt for this message"

I am working to eliminate the noise of my rack.

Module 1.5 - Pinion 22 teeth.

I have 2 racks of 2.000mm two on either side of the X.

Only 1 of 4, makes a greater noise.

Disconnected the "driver" and manually move the frame.

In search of the source of noise, release the rack that is the source of noise.

Reverses its position. Replaces another that I have to reserve. Far left of the metal and also against this.

Nothing eliminated the noise. Any suggestions?
