Multiple routers/spindles/drills?

I saw this cool design on the web and was wondering if anyone has any designs for a multihead mechmate.

Twin Router MechMate?

I tired a few searches to see if anyone had done a twin router MM yet and could not find anything. Have there been any that I missed?

You can fit two standard z-slides into the standard y-car. But then you need to find another route for the dust hose.

And two y-cars on a gantry is feasible.

Multiple gantries on a table is also feasible.

2 z slides on the same y car

Hi Gerald & forum,

I would be looking towards 2 heads, being an electronic's newbie, would the extra stepping motor (s) require an extra controler?

as disscused above the 2nd z axis could slide into the the standard y carraige or an additional y carraige could be put on the gantry, my prefrence would be 1 y carriage.

any thoughts on either option?
