Considering a build - Utah
Karl here.
Looking things over before starting a build. I am in Utah USA. Accomplished at woodworking and proficient at stick welding. I am currently building a JGRO MDF router table and ran across this site in my reasearch. This will be my second table after I get good at welding with MIG. Hi Karl....
MIG is pretty easy once you get the hang of it... Keep your metal clean, set the current and feed rate right, keep your ground close to the welds and you'll be proficient in a hurry... Last edited by swatkins; Tue 23 February 2010 at 23:01.. |

Hi Karl,
Welcome. You don't need to be good at welding to build MM... & you don't even need MIG welder... PS, if you need an excuse to delay the build, 1) reading & studying the plans 2) collecting parts are more acceptable excuses |

Karl: Welcome to the asylum (where the inmates run the show.)
Building the MM is more fun than anyone has a right to while still in the vertical plane! Joe |
