That's Cool, but I don't think I can throw a full sized sculpture up on the platform. I think I could make one though if I made a small 'sample' size.

For a desktop or portable model (slip it in with your laptop) it looks great.
I guess it depends on your final use. The 'dream' would be to have it this size and be able to scan a house (or Lincoln Memorial or at least something more human scale, a piece of furniture (sofa, table, chair) , a person, etc. |

Should check this out from Autodesk if you want to scan in larger objects. I tried it on my Iphone and it worked pretty well. I never machined anything from it but I can see how it would work.
