I have not worked much at all with MDF. I am getting mostly dust, not chips? I was cutting 3/4" MDF, using a Whiteside 1/2", up/down compression bit (can't find any info on chip load)....

You can look at the builders log, it lists the time it took people for their build. I think mine was near 2 years.
Everyone's is different depending on lots of factors, but worth it in the end....
