Vacuum clamp

From the inspiration of Deere #116 a mini vacuum table. Needed to make something quick to hold some wooden boards in place for cutting into cheese boards. 200 x 200 mm and worked a treat.

Thanks for the files, just imported the dxf will do the tool paths later. Can't wait to try out, may even do a small test section first.

Motors are fine, these were selected the same as another build on the forum, we ended up making a drive reduction and have smooth operation and good speed.

We were quoted around that but when we got there it all changed. They made up some story oh don't know where he got that pricing from blah blah, ended up costing us $1100 for everything.

Looking at that vacuum table set up again, very nice. Do you still run a thin spoil board on top or is depth of cut set accurately as not to damage the vacuum table?

I use a 2.4mm straight cut, you get pretty good finish with a quick sand any swarf is gone. I cut shapes for a craft person do up to 300 at a time, while a sheet is cutting I'm cleaning the previous...

Pretty sure we used a die grinder bit, $25 to $30 for a air die grinder Supercheap or Bunnings and around $20 for a bit.

I'm no expert on this but we are using the 24T on a 4:1 so I would guess the 20T would be better, but I remember somewhere the guys talking about having to small a pinion doesn't give enough teeth...

Just checked we paid $15.50 including so about the same price. We got 24T from memory ran direct drive for a while.

On a side note, we use a 2.4mm straight bit to cut 3mm MDF nicely.

Good for test cut but I forgot to check the width of the cut outs versus the thickness board despite the file being called "12mm layout" the cut outs weren't so we couldn't assemble ours..

Your not alone, we couldn't work out why the cuts looked like S**T and why it made some much noise. Changed the wires and got it turning the right way, works so much better :)
