Robert you must have a VFD to make the 3 phase spindle run. The VFD converts single to three phase and controls the speed of the spindle.

I have also been reviewing the Acorn controller....

I have also been reviewing the Acorn controller. I was wondering if the 23 motors needed any gear reduction. I see here that the 23's with our belt drives work great.
