I am not hung up on the term backlash, but to deny that this is not an accumulative effect of it is ubserd, ( if the backlash is removed and the "effect" stops, and you put the backlash back...

I think you are not following what I am saying.....
I know that when you have backlash on the machine it is a given amount which may grow over time but it does not accumulate in that manner,...

I disagree it accumulates, I have seen it happen, just because you loose in one direction you may not gain in the other, if the machine is cutting in one direction and jogging in the other...

If you do the math on this you will see what I mean, if I have a file that is say 200 thousand lines of code long and my machine has a back lash of .005 of an inch, with every direction...
