65Vdc is not really an odd voltage. If you are thinking of building an unregulater conventional power supply from transformers....

I'll go with 3 or 4:1 belt reduction with the 34HS9801 and think it is fairly conclusive that the SM-80 will be suitable (multiple 1,2,5,10,20,40. or step/rev of 200, 400, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000)...
