Gecko G203v Resitor Ohm Value

Would someone please check my math.
I am using KL34H280-45-8A stepper motors connected in Bipolar(parallel)
Its rated DC Amps is 6.3 Amps

Resistance = 47 * current / (7 - Rated Current)
= 47 * 6.3 / (7 - 6.3 )
= 296.1 / .7
= 423 Kilo Ohm

Your math is correct. RadioShack sells a 390k resistor and a 470k resistor. Either would work. Many electronic part suppliers also carry a 430k resistor, which would be even better. Just remember that the higher the value, the more current allowed and the hotter the motor. If the 430k resistor is not available in your area, I would suggest that you use a 390k resistor. (Even going as low as 282k will still let the drive pull 6A.)

I have those (430K) and will send you 4 if you cant source locally - I bought 100

Gecko G203V

Thanks for the offer Metalhead.
I went to Radio Shack and bought an assortment and have tried them all.
How do you know if the G203v is working. I took apart the PMDX-134 and removed the aluminum cover from the Gecko. I see it has several LEDs on the circuit board, but none of them light up. The green LED on the 134 is lit so I know that I have voltage. I took a reading across one of the load resistors and it did not read a voltage. Not sure if you can read voltage in that manner. I went to the section of the manual concerning Testing and did all the needed changing of DIP switches. The PMDX-126 did exactly what the manual stated it would do. LEDs all flashed in the correct order but the G203v did not do a thing and neither did the stepper motors. I am obviously missing something. Anyone have any ideas

Mike can you post a picture of the actual connections you have to the geckos for us to see again. We need to see if you have power from your supply connected correctly. Thanks

I will have it in ten minutes

ok 10 min
