Yip it is. there is a company in hermanus that makes "plastic wood planks" for benches, bins and board walks ie storms river mouth

That company is http://www.primwood.co.za/. The rectangular "sausages" out of their extrusion machine are very basic, chunky profiles.

The EcoWood guys have put a lot more into their profiles. Hollow core and thinwall, plus they claim a very high wood percentage which supposedly makes their product "stain-able".

Primwood emphasises the "recycling" aspect. Ecowood seems to try and hide the fact that they use old stinky plastic?
