Tip: Mark the eccentric bushings . . . .
 

I mark the eccentric bushings to show the "thickest" part:


Then there is no guessing which way the roller is going to move when the bushing is turned.

It is easier to view the bushing from the back to see the thickest part, and then mark it with a permanent marker, before cutting the notch with a thin grind disk.
