Support Bushings M120220T

Hey all. This question is in regards to the support bushings for the spider plate. I received my V-rollers and eccentric bushings from Superior Bearing and now I'm looking for a source for the support bushings, M120220T. I assume many of you just turned your own, but I don't have a metal lathe and the thought of finding a machinist to turn 6 bushings has my checkbook shaking. Does anyone know of a US supplier?

Hi Steve,

I just reversed the order of the assembly so that the eccentric bushing
takes the place of the support bushing. I'm sure there's a reason that this
isn't such a good idea but it does work.... For now. (Makes it a little harder
to adjust the bearing fit to the z-slide but you should only have to do that
once.)

Alternately, you might try using nylon spacers that are about 1/2" thick.
I found them at Lowes in the nuts-n-bolts area in one of those little drawers full of various fasteners.
You'd still have to relieve the top so as not to contact the
rotating part of the bearing but... might work?

Hi Steve,

You might try drill stops.

How about getting some drill rod of the approx diameter needed, cut to length, drill center hole, and then put a bolt though, chuck it in a drill press and use a file to get the taper? Might take a little longer than a lathe but if you dont have one then maybe?

Heath,
I made some bushing almost just like that.
I chucked up the drill rod in the drill press and used my 4.5" angle grinder to relieve the shoulder. Not pretty, but it worked.

Sean,
Yes, the angle grinder sounds like it would be faster than the file method. I am shocked though that you dont have a mini lathe in that shop of yours. :) And also that it is not CNCed as well. ;)

Heath.....I do now. When I built my MM, I didn't have all my tools here in Orlando. I recently purchase a Bridgeport knee mill and a Logan machinist lathe to keep all my needs in check!
