Could I harden the rails by myself ???
 

Hi,
I was wondering if someone has harden (template) the rails by itself. A very rudimentary way will be to warm the rails with a flame and throw in some water this will harden the rails, but i think is a risky business...I think I can get some warpage in the process :eek:

Standard angle iron will not harden with that method (test a scrap if ypu want to check). It does not contain enough carbon.
