Planning the MM build

Hey guys,

Im in the process of getting the steel together for my build and have a quick question (Maybe a silly one)....

Im looking for the table to have a cutting area of a 4 foot x 8 foot.. what is the best way to go about this.

Sorry for the possible silly question but.... yep you guessed it i have newbie written all over me haha :D

Any help would be very much appreciated

I would start off by reading throw the threads and order the plans. All of your answers are contained in these threads “post” I have included the link below to the plans.

Everyone on this forum is willing assist you in your build, but you will need to do some research on your own. Enjoy your build and looking forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks buddy, im aware of the plans. Ive been through the forum looking at ideas but not sure how you calculate the cutting area as i dont know how far the router is from the sides or end does that make sense?

The starting points for building your own MechMate - selecting table size, etc.

Thanks GD obviously missed that one!!!!

I am curious as to how you could have missed it? It is "sticky" thread, right near the top of the first section. Have you cottoned on to read the sticky threads first?

Lol for some reason i kept passing the stickys on all threads! Dont ask me why cos i aiont a clue. on the plus side i have some more reading to do haha

Gerald D Sun 10 June 2012 13:29

You are not the first....wish I knew why some folk start reading below the stickys.

Sticky Syndrome :) - Probably a side effect of Adworditis (Skipping paid adds on top at Google !!) :)
