Steel L profile
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Gerald,
the nearest steel L profile to support rails I can get is 60x40x5 mm (attachment). Can I use it or do I have to cut it to 60x21x5 mm ? Regards Tomas |
Tom
Look at drawing M1 10 110, there you'll see that the final height of the rails will be 28 mm. So first you have to grind the rail down to 28 mm, then you must grind the 45 degree angles. Search this forum for the various ways how this can be done As starter your angle iron will be fine. Good luck with youre build. Polder |

Hi Polder, I did not explain it well. L profile would be just support for the rails. See atachment.

Tom,
Then have a look at drawing M 10 120. Specialy the remark that you have to make a fillet radius etc. You can still use youre angle iron. 40 becomes 16 mm measured from the inside. That will do fine Polder |
