Assistance on 4th axes setup
Wayne #25
I am trying to get a 4th axes setup, Presently I have as described, A axes slaved to B Set up A axes, A and B enabled (Why B?) step 2 port 2 Toolpath Axes of rotation X checked A rotation enabled checked Show lathe objects checked What am I missing? What on the keyboard jogs A axes? Good info, but I am still lost. Can you anyone else assist further. Where can I find more info. Toad |
Why is A slaved to B - Its usually X slaved to A
Why are you using port 2, do you have two ports and two BOB's, if not, they should be set to: step1, port1 X-Axis is usually down the length of the machine and if you have two motors then another axis is slaved to it (a 3 axis machine would slave A, on a four axis machine I would slave B - On the general logic config tab, uncheck "B axis is angular") Y-Axis is usually across the width of the machine. Z-Axis is vertical from the table A-Axis is usually rotational on its own These settings also need to correspond to the correct settings on the ports and pins - motor outputs tab. |
4th axes.

Try += and -_ (the two keys next to "Backspace")
